    This page is maintained by Simard Construction LLC ("Simard Construction," "we," "us," or "our") to explain how we collect and handle information when you visit simardconstruction.com, simardroofing.com, and related domains (the "Site"), or when you request a quote from us. This policy is not a certification and does not create any contractual rights beyond those stated in our Terms of Service.

    1. Information We Collect

    When you use our Site, we collect:

    • Information you submit through the quote form or chat: your name, email address, phone number, project address or service area, and any project details you choose to share.
    • Information you send directly: messages, photos, and documents you send by email, phone, text, or social media.
    • Automatically collected information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies only when you accept analytics cookies (see Section 5).

    2. How We Use Information

    • Respond to quote requests and communicate about your project.
    • Schedule site visits, estimates, and construction work.
    • Send project updates, invoices, and service-related messages.
    • Improve our website and understand which services visitors are interested in (only with your consent to analytics cookies).
    • Comply with Florida contractor licensing, tax, insurance, and other legal obligations.

    We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your name, email, or phone number for third-party advertising.

    3. How We Share Information

    We share information only with:

    • Service providers that help us run our business, such as our lead-management system (JobTread), email delivery (Resend), analytics (Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel), and website hosting. These providers may only use the information to provide services to us.
    • Subcontractors and suppliers when needed to provide an estimate or perform work at your property.
    • Government agencies or courts when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights.

    4. How Long We Keep Information

    We keep quote-form submissions (name, email, phone, project details) for up to three (3) years from the date of your last contact with us, after which we delete or anonymize them. Records required for contracts, warranties, tax, licensing, or insurance purposes may be kept longer as required by Florida and federal law.

    5. Cookies & Analytics

    We use two types of cookies and similar technologies:

    • Strictly necessary: required for the Site to function (for example, remembering your cookie choice). These are always on.
    • Analytics & marketing: Google Analytics 4 and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, used to measure Site traffic and the performance of our advertising. These are blocked until you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you click "Decline," these tools are not loaded.

    You can change your choice at any time by or by clearing cookies in your browser.

    6. Your Choices & Rights

    You may:

    • Ask us what information we hold about you.
    • Ask us to correct or delete your information.
    • Opt out of marketing emails or text messages at any time.
    • Withdraw your cookie consent using the link above.

    7. Children

    Our Site is intended for adults seeking construction services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

    We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you provide, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for form submissions and access-controlled storage for lead data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    9. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
